Development Spotlight: Blueprints & Resources

In the last Development Spotlight, we gave you an in-depth look at how the game gives you complete freedom to tailor Robots to your playstyle. Your progress in War Robots: Frontiers is also tied to Robot building. The longer you play, the more building blocks you have at your disposal, and it's up to you to discover effective combinations.

BLUEPRINTS

Blueprints are the essence of your Hangar and give you access to newer content. You can manufacture every item in the game right from your Inventory if you have the right blueprint, so collecting each of them will be quite a milestone.

Most Blueprints will be a reward for reaching a new account level. By the time you hit the experience cap, your Blueprint library will be almost complete and you will be limited only by your resource stockpile. Blueprints are permanent and there is no limit on the number of items they can produce, so as soon as you add a Blueprint to your collection you can be sure that sooner or later, you will have that item in one of your Robot builds.

As we add more items into the game following the Early Access stage, their Blueprints will first become available as Battle Pass rewards. Each Battle Pass season will last roughly three months and the newer Blueprints will rotate at the start of each season. If the only way to get one was to purchase the Pass, then in the following season it will appear as a usual reward unlocked with account experience.

RESOURCES

They use three currencies on the Frontier: Credits, Alloys, and WarpReals.

Credits are your main battle reward. Deploy, complete the mission, survive—and get paid. You can use Credits to purchase items in the Shop.

Alloys are raw materials that feed your Hangar production. You can get Alloys by salvaging Robot parts, weapons, and ability modules you do not need. You will also receive Alloys with every purchase in the Shop.

WarpReals make your life a bit easier by offering shortcuts to your goals. For example, in the Shop, WarpReals allow you to load a new selection of items without making a purchase.

THE SHOP

While Blueprint production is the most resource-efficient way to equip your Hangar, the Shop allows you to obtain items faster.

The Shop offers you a selection of three items. You can buy one with Credits, buy all three with WarpReals, or refresh the selection for a small fee of WarpReals. When you buy an item, the other two get melted into Alloys for free and the Shop shows you another three items to choose from. You can keep buying or skipping as long as you wish. If you’re low on resources, the current assortment of items will still be there when you return. There are no limited-time offers in the Shop.

In the next Development Spotlight, we will talk about the map Crash Site. Tune in next time to see what we have in store!
